Fenerbahce prepare €45m bid for Antony but winger prefers Betis return
Manchester United could finally offload Antony this summer, with Fenerbahce ready to launch a €45 million (£38m/$49m) offer for the Brazilian winger.
According to ESPN, the Turkish giants, now managed by Jose Mourinho, are prepared to meet United’s asking price — something few clubs have been willing to do. The Red Devils remain intent on a permanent sale after paying €95m to sign Antony from Ajax in 2022.
However, the 25-year-old is reluctant to commit to a move to the Super Lig. Instead, he favours a return to Real Betis, where he enjoyed a productive loan spell last season, contributing nine goals and five assists in 26 appearances. Betis, though, have only pushed for another loan, which does not align with United’s preference.
Other clubs, including Brighton, Bayer Leverkusen and Benfica, have been linked, but so far Fenerbahce are the only side willing to put forward a permanent bid.
